Everywhere you look you are probably able to see injection molded parts. This process has allowed most industries to manufacture goods quickly and economically. From razors and toothbrushes in the morning to your bedside light and TV you turn off before bed you are most likely using injection molded parts. The calculators and computers used at work and the airplanes that transport you to your vacation site are filled with injection molded parts as well. The uses for injection molded parts continue to make more and more products affordable and possible for all of us.

Simply described, Injection molding is the process of feeding raw plastic material in pellet form into a machine where it is melted and forced under high pressure into a mold. The material is allowed to cool and the mold opens into two halves, ejecting the part and the process is repeated. Injection molded parts can be manufactured to very close tolerances and complicated configurations.

This process is ideal for complicated as well as simple parts where either the quantity or complexity of the part design dictates. Molds for injection molded parts are expensive but the part price is low
